Today I want to introduce you to a wonderful couple, Iana and Marco. It was an honour to be their wedding photographer in Venice, in Burano to be precise. Marco is a cheerful, friendly guy. Iana has a charming smile and with her wonderful wedding gown she seems to bewitch even her older daughter, who is left in disbelief as Iana wears the bride’s dress.
The civil ceremony takes place in Villa Grimani Valmarana, in Noventa Padovana. The witnesses of honour are the couple’s two daughters, the tangible symbol of the strong halo of love one feels around this couple. The ceremony is intimate and extremely moving. I’m touched by the tender, wonderful hug that blooms between the couple just instants before the exchange of the rings. This moment seizes eternity.
After the ceremony we are ready to move to Burano! We get on the ferry in Tronchetto, Venice’s harbour, and reach Burano, one of the most charming islands in the Venice lagoon where the light welcomes us, playing games through the white clouds. In Burano, short colourful houses, quiet canals and wooden bridges frame Iana and Marco first steps as a married couple. They exchange tender looks and a quick kiss under a gentle beam of light as the sun seems almost too shy to disturb their happiness.
“Alla Maddalena” is the venue chosen for the wedding reception. In this traditional trattoria in Burano one truly feels at home.
The cutting of the cake is even sweeter than usual, as the adorable couple’s daughters can’t help sticking their fingers into the icing for a cheeky taste… Evening comes and my duty as their wedding photographer in Venice is almost finished. I close the night with a last shot picturing dark clouds hanging on the lagoon. The memory I take away though is the happy moments this wonderful family has shared today. Thank you, guys, for this magical experience. May joy be with you, everyday!

we find out that our watches
can hardly come back again to the real time.”
