From the first moment I met Claudia and Nazareno I understood immediately that they are a very special couple. Thus their wedding couldn’t be otherwise; special indeed. As a wedding photographer in Venice, I’m familiar with the locations of the area. The couple, for their celebration, picked the Cathedral Baptistery of Santa Maria Assunta. It’s an evocative master piece completely frescoed by Giusto de’ Menabuoi.
Wedding in Italy church:
Ignoring the tradition, the couple arrives at the church together in an original, shiny red vintage Volkswagen van. Nazareno is driving. Sitting at his side is Claudia but there are also other guests in the van, the most obvious and cheerful of the bunch are the two pageboys! The bride elegantly walks down the aisle escorted by her father, while Nazareno eagerly awaits by the altar. The ceremony is intense and emotional, very deep. By the time of the exchange of the rings the atmosphere is overwhelming.
Wedding in italy venues:
After the religious ceremony and the traditional, auspicious throwing of the rice on the couple, everyone leaves towards Mossano, to the Valle dei Mulini! Waiting for us is a gracefully set up location, the perfect canvas for the event, plunged in the greenery and beauty of the Berici hills, in the Vicenza area. The dinner is extraordinarily romantic. Candles light the tables, the Michelin starred “Dolada” catering delights guests with their excellent cuisine and the jazz band “Anita e The Bouncebits” accompanies the dinner, completing the scene.
Smiles, laughs and much happiness are all around but above it all there is love. The air is full with beauty. When the sun finally sets on this moving day, it leaves space to soft lights framing this intimate yet joyful dinner. After the cutting of the cake it’s time for dancing and even Roger, the couple’s dog, takes part!
It’s finally time to leave, my last shot as their wedding photographer in Italy, shows this couple’s eyes, full with love. Love gives them so much power that they seem able to conquer the word itself. After all, isn’t it true, as Dante’s says that “Love … (that) moves the sun in heav’n and all the stars.”? Best wishes for a happy life, guys. From now on you are one, you are a family!
